Do you have any background in coding? What engine do you use?
Hello! It depends on the jam. Most game jams have hashtags associated with them. (or little communities/forums right on the jam!) You can reach out there directly. People are always looking for sound artists. Do you have a twitter?
I very much like the Familiar Game Jam (which happens in Spain but also online) all of the games that are made are always of such high quality. The quarterly GM48 is also interesting in terms of the games that are made in them. I feel like the GM48 also has a great community around it.
Hello! There are quite a few game jams that are all about writing! There was a narrative jam a while back, as well as the WAG jam (meaning Write A Game jam). Keep a look out for them as artists are always looking for writers for them.
It looks much better!
Glad you got the custom image sorted! The blue font on the red background hurts my eyes though! Maybe changing it to something a bit less harsh would work better. And the activitiy feed is bound to fill up which will put the Home button and such low down on the screen, just so you know. 🙂
Hello! There is a video tutorial on how to set up Game Jolt Jam pages here – http://www.indiegamejams.com/2014/08/make-decent-gamejolt-jam/
If that doesnt help, I can take a look for you 🙂
I feel like after the gamejolt system was released, there has been a LOT more jams….
Yes this was about the post. I didnt think the post was going to get a million replies on twitter. I feel like it just isnt in the spirit of the game jam for people to put games on there that cost money!
I never really thought of the whole combining score thing.
Honestly, I would suggest using GameJolt’s system, having a good look to your jam and enough time, and getting the word out as much as you can.
Nice to meet all of you!
I use gamemaker sometimes XD
Well, I wish you luck in your jamming! And yes, all GameJolt official jams have voting :3
Game jams have taken over my life. 😀
