i like food.
bunnyheroKeymasterany 3d games i make will now have SHADOWS (used to be unity pro only; now free)!
also i will have to take a closer look at UE4.
bunnyheroKeymasteragreed. so many jams o_o
bunnyheroKeymasteryeah, html5/javascript/css is great for quick experiments, and easy to share. and while i know that it’s possible to package up html5 games into apps, i don’t think i would use it for a final version of a shipping game.
bunnyheroKeymasterhaha yeah, this was posted at the same time as the tweet.
bunnyheroKeymasterit seems antithetical to the spirit of what a game jam is! a celebration and sharing of the joy of game creation.
bunnyheroKeymasterhmm it looks like this quote plugin doesn’t work if the visual editor is enabled 🙁

well i’ll start this off, even though it’s my responsibility to try to fix these 😛– bbpress (which is the forum software we use) doesn’t seem to have a quote function (i.e. replying with a quote from the post you’re replying to). there’s probably a plugin for that. i’ll look for one.

i’ll look into these!
testing quote plugin
bunnyheroKeymasterawesome! thanks for the update! 😀
bunnyheroKeymasterdon’t be sorrry! it was a very informative post 😀
bunnyheroKeymasterthat’s a good question and something i’ve been thinking about lately. what makes for a good game jam? there have been some recent ones with only a couple of entries. i guess, like many things, it’s about promotion, and getting the word out there.
i bet @jupiter has some insight on this!
bunnyheroKeymasterwelcome @jacklehamster!
bunnyheroKeymasterwell i entered, but didn’t really finish my game in time for the deadline. i submitted what i had, which isn’t much to look at, unfortunately! it would have been a lot better with just a few more hours. maybe i’ll do that this coming weekend (unless i enter another jam, LOL).
bunnyheroKeymaster@NeithR: that’s awesome 🙂 i like the idea of combining jams, not just because you get to participate in more than one, but also the added challenge of combining themes and elements. on the other hand, @Jupiter doesn’t like when people combine games, because she ends up playing the same game multiple times for her let’s play videos xD
